Philadelphia, Pa. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Tennis team closed out its 2023-2024 regular season schedule on Friday afternoon with a visit to the City of Brotherly Love to face Jefferson University. A game Spartans squad made quick work of the host Rams, blanking them by the final score of 7-0.

ROCKHILL REPORT

"We had been focusing on this match for quite a while", stated Head Coach Dan Rockhill. "We knew how strong Jefferson is and felt this would be an important match to win for NCAA seeding purposes. We have worked extremely hard this spring and did not want to have a letdown in our last regular season match."

"We have been traveling a lot recently and this was our third match in as many days, so I am proud of the effort the team gave today", said Rockhill. "Our toughness is building and most of our roster is making themselves difficult to beat. A lot of people were suggesting that our team was weakened this spring but we are actually proving to be stronger. I am so pleased with the team's development and their willingness to do the work and trust the coaching staff."

"I am extremely proud of the top of our lineup as they are demonstrating that they can compete with anyone in the region."

"It is now time to get back to work on the practice courts and continue to improve, remarked Rockhill."
