Orlando, Fla. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Tennis team kicked off its spring campaign on Monday by blanking Bentley University, 7-0, as the team's annual Sunshine State spring break tour gets underway.

STAC improves to 10-1 overall with its ninth straight victory, while Bentley slips to 4-10 on the year.

STAC opened things up with a strong performance in doubles play, taking two of three matchups to secure the team doubles point. THE ROCKHILL REPORT

"The first match outdoors is always a difficult adjustment", remarked Head Coach Dan Rockhill. "Fortunately, both teams were able to win over tough Bentley teams that competed very well, especially in the top two positions. I believe we learned valuable lessons today that should help us going forward."

"I am happy for Amanda (Kadiri)", said Rockhill. "She was starting to play well in the fall before she got injured and has been improving daily since January. She is figuring out a style that will give herself the best chance to win. "Sun (Zhuoxuan) picked up her first collegiate win and I have a feeling she is going to accumulate a lot of them in a STAC uniform."

"It's enjoyable to watch Seth (Newman) and Henry (Ronnberg) develop stated Rockhill". "They continue to pace the men's team."

"We expect a couple of competitive matches tomorrow with Lewis, said Rockhill. I am hopeful that we continue to adjust and improve."
