
Recently, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its final Division II Women’s Team, Singles and Doubles Regional and National Rankings.
The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Tennis team took the second position in the East Region, while also placing #29 in the nation, to close out the 2024-2025 season.
STAC wrapped up its campaign at 15-6 overall and 4-1 in ECC play, as the Spartans outstanding season included an ECC Regular Season title, their fourth ECC Championship Final appearance in the last five years, along with NCAA East Regional victories over Adelphi and New Haven, and subsequent third straight NCAA Round of 16 National Championship appearance.
The maroon and gold picked up wins over Molloy (7-0), D'Youville (7-0), Daemen (7-0), West Chester (7-0), District of Columbia (6-1), Post (7-0), District of Columbia-ECC Semifinal (4-0), Minnesota State Moorhead (4-3), Winona State (7-0), SUNY New Paltz (7-0), Wilmington (4-3), Jefferson (6-1), Adelphi (5-2), Adelphi-NCAA East Regional (4-0) and New Haven-NCAA East Regional (4-0). The team's only blemishes come via setbacks to Queens (6-1), Queens-ECC Final (4-1), Hampton (4-3), North Dakota (6-1), New Haven (4-3) and Barry-NCAA Finals (4-0).
In addition, the following Spartans earned individual regional and national rankings for their outstanding singles and doubles performances during the 2024-25 season.
