The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Triathlon team kicked off their 2021 season this past weekend at the Buzzard's Bay Sprint Triathlon in Westport, MA. Strong performances by the Spartans in the 1/3 mile swim, 14 mile bike and 3.1 mile run capped an outstanding day, as all STAC participants came home with exemplary times in the water, on the bike and on the run.

In an extremely large and competitive collegiate field Hanna Jung placed 5th with a time of 1:13:30 and Sam Biss 10th with a time of 1:17:43.  Hanna was one of the top females coming out of the water and the 2nd place female coming off the bike. Sam pulled herself back into the top 10 with a strong run off the bike with a 22:37 5K.

The Spartans will next be in action on Saturday, September 25 at the Toughman Sprint Triathlon, which will take place at Lake Welch Beach, Stony Point, NY.
