Phoebe Hemmerling Earns 2022 CTCA Scholar All-American Honors

On Friday, the College Triathlon Coaches Association announced their annual Scholar All-American teams and athletes for 2022. 

St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Triathlete Phoebe Hemmerling (Jr./Baton Rouge, La.) was named an Honorable Mention Scholar All-American as a result of her outstanding work on both the race course and inside the classroom during the fall 2022 semester. Hemmerling currently studies Art Therapy at the college.

In total, 27 different programs across Division's I, II and III were named to the Scholar All-American Teams for their efforts during the 2022 season.

Overall, there were 102 women from 28 different NCAA institutions who were bestowed Scholar All-American statuses for their efforts during this past season.

In order to qualify for Scholar All-American distinction, teams must be current CTCA members and have a GPA of 3.2 or higher on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, while student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale throughout the fall semester of competition.
