St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Volleyball player Dahiana Garcia Atuesta was named the East Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Monday following the Spartans 1-1 week on the court, which included a 3-0 shutout victory over Caldwell University.

Garcia Atuesta (Pereira, Colombia) led STAC in digs across both against Caldwell and Mercy, totaling 23 digs (2.88 digs/set). The Spartan sophomore totaled 10 digs against the Cougars and dished out 13 digs against the Mavericks.

STAC (6-14, 0-7 ECC)  plays its final road match of the 2024 regular season, visiting Roberts Wesleyan University on Saturday, November 2. The Spartans and Redhawks will tangle in ECC action at the Voller Athletic Center in Rochester, New York beginning at 12:00 p.m.
