Sparkill, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Volleyball team kicked off its season-ending four-match homestand on Saturday morning, taking on D'Youville University at the Spartan Athletic Complex.
A talented Saints squad took the first two sets, before the Spartans were able to power their way to a third set victory and avoid a sweep. However, the visitors from Western New York ultimately closed things out with a win in the fourth set to secure the 3-1 team victory.
STAC falls to 7-15 overall and 1-8 in ECC action, while D'Youville improves to 10-14 and 6-4.

How it Happened
- As a team, D'Youville recorded 52 kills compared to STAC's 45. The Saints also had 7 blocks and 448 assists, while the Spartans tallied 8 blocks and 43 assists.
- D'Youville outhit STAC by a .185 to .125 margin for the match.
- Evie Paalman led the Spartans offense with a team-high 13 kills. She also registered three assists, 14 digs, a solo block and two block assists.
- Lea Venghaus recorded 36 serve assists (9.0 assists/set). Venghaus also accumulated six kills, six digs and a solo block for the maroon and gold.
- Greta Santini tallied 10 kills, 12 digs on the afternoon.
- Chloe Weiting posted 10 kills, seven digs and three block assists against the Saints.
- Addison Miller added to the Spartans totals with three assists, a service ace and a team-high 16 digs.
- Isis Barrett accumulated three kills, three service aces, five digs and four block assists across four sets on Saturday.
