Sparkill, N.Y. - Despite taking the opening set from the visiting Roberts Wesleyan University Redhawks, the St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Volleyball team dropped a 3-1 East Coast Conference decision on Saturday morning at the Spartan Athletic Complex.
STAC slips to 4-10 overall and 0-3 in ECC play, while Roberts Wesleyan improves to 9-5 and 1-2.

How it Happened
- As a team, Roberts Wesleyan recorded 62 kills compared to STAC's 35. The Redhawks also had 5 blocks and 54 assists, while the Spartans tallied 12 blocks and 35 assists.
- Roberts Wesleyan outhit St. Thomas Aquinas by a .283 to .157 margin for the match.
- Evie Paalman led the Spartans offense with a match-high 17 kills. She also registered a team-high 11 digs and a block assist
- Anna Gazzerro recorded 22 serve assists (5.5 assists/set). Gazzerro also accumulated two digs for the maroon and gold.
- Lea Venghaus picked up 10 assists, a service ace and six digs.
- Greta Santini tallied seven kills and ten digs on the day.
- Isis Barrett posted five kills, one assist, three service aces, five digs, a solo block and six block assists against the Redhawks.
- Chloe Weiting added to the Spartans totals with four kills a dig and five block assists.
- Christianna Roberts accumulated two kills, two solo blocks and three block assists over three sets on Saturday.
