Women's Cross Country Team Earns All-Academic Status

The USTFCCCA has announced the Lady Spartan Cross Country Team as an All-Academic honoree.  The team held a 3.61 G.P.A.  This academic award follows their first ever East Coast Conference Cross Country Championship.

The STAC runners were led by junior Sarah Callagy who won the ECC Championship race, was named the ECC Runner of the Year and was named to the 1st Team All-Conference.  Freshman Keeley Bateman finished 3rd in the ECC Championship, was honored as the ECC Rookie of the Year and also was a 1st Team All-Conference selection.  Junior Julia Karl was named to the 2nd All-Conference Team.  The trio was also named individual All-Academic selections.  Juniors Chelsea Klinger, Lisa Brevogel, Lauren Karpoich, and freshman Caroline Bjorkman round out the roster for the 2010 St. Thomas Aquinas Cross Country Team.

To qualify as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country Team, the team must have a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better and have compiled a score (finished at least five runners) at their respective NCAA regional championship.
