Freshman Keeley Bateman took down the cross country female Rookie of the Week honors for the second time this season, while classmate Mike Galonski was tabbed male Rookie of the Week.

Bateman was the first ECC freshman to cross the line at the Brooks Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University, covering the 6K course in 23:43.  She took 30th place in her first 6K race. Bateman received the same accolade for the week of September 20th.

Galonski set a new personal record of 27:04 as he led the STAC men's cross country team in the Lehigh Brooks Paul Short Run on Friday.  Galonski was the Spartans top finisher in 27th place.  He has lead the Spartans in every race this season.
