Spartan Cross Country Squads Awarded Academic Honors

Both the St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's and Women's Cross Country Teams have earned 2011 USTFCCCA All-Academic status.  These academic honors follow strong athletic seasons by both squads with the women taking 2nd place in the ECC and the men finishing 3rd in the conference.

To qualify as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country Team, the team must have had a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better and have tallied a team score at the NCAA Regional Championships.  This is the second consecutive year that the Lady Spartans have been honored.

This announcement follows last weeks All-Academic Individual Selections which were taken by four Spartan runners.  Keeley Bateman and Sarah Callagy represented the women's team honorees, while Joe Chegwidden and Michael Galonski were named on the men's side.
