Bateman, Jaskot and Galonski Tabbed All-Academic Selections

The USTFCCCA has awarded Keeley Bateman, Meagan Jaskot and Michael Galonski All-Acaemic Honors for both their success in the classroom and on the trails.

Bateman, a senior, has had a stellar career at STAC.  She is a four time recipient of this award along with many others.   In Bateman's four years at STAC she has racked up awards including All-Conference, All-Region, All-Academic and Rookie of the Year.  She holds the Spartan 5K record of 18:45 as well as the 6K record of 23:28.  Bateman is an elementary education major.

Sophomore Jaskot is a first time All-Academic selection.  She helped to lead the Lady Spartans to a 2nd place finish at the ECC Championship as well as an 11th place finish at the NCAA Regionals.  She has been a 2nd Team All-Conference selection. 

Galonski, a three time recipient, was also named an All-East Region Cross Country selection for his 15th place finish in the NCAA East Regional Championship at Franklin Park.  Galonski is the first male runner to earn this accolade at STAC.  Galonski has had a strong career at STAC earning many honors in his four year span.  He is also a four time All-Conference runner, and has finished in the Top 15 in every race this season.  He holds our 8K school record as well. Galanski is a graphic arts major.  

Bateman and Jaskot are two of 337 women in Division II who earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors for the 2013 cross country season. Honorees must have compiled a cumulative GPA or 3.25 or greater and must have finished among the top 30 percent of total eligible runners at her regional championship (total Division II teams in the region multiplied by seven runners per team) or in the top half of the field at the NCAA Championships.  Those 337 women hail from 126 different institutions and 22 different conferences.

Galonski was one of 212 men in Division II who earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors for the 2013 cross country season. Honorees must have compiled a cumulative GPA or 3.25 or greater and must have finished among the top 30 percent of total eligible runners at his regional championship (total Division II teams in the region multiplied by seven runners per team) or in the top half of the field at the NCAA Championships.  Those 212 men hail from 96 different institutions and 22 different conferences.
