The Men's and Women's Cross Country teams have been named All-Academic teams for their strong performances in the classroom by the United States Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association. This is the fourth consecutive year the Lady Spartans have received the award and the third for the men.
The Lady Spartans had a team GPA of 3.26 and finished 11th in the NCAA East Region Championship. That is their best finish to date. They also finished 2nd in the East Coast Conference Championship.
The men's squad had a team GPA of 3.04 and finished 15th in the NCAA East Region Championship. They took 4th at the ECC Championship.
136 women's teams and 92 men's teams that earned All-Academic Team honors for the 2013 season were recognized. Programs must have compiled a cumulative GPA or 3.00 or greater and scored at an NCAA Division II regional meet to qualify for the award.
