The St. Thomas Aquinas cross country team raced at the Haverford Invitational in Haverford, PA on Saturday.  Rookie Kristen Borriello was the first Lady Spartan finisher for the second consecutive week.  Freshmen Vincent Vazquez was the top male finisher in the four mile race.

Borriello covered the women's 3 mile course in 18:26 which was good for 6th place.  Redshirt sophomore Meaghan Ventarola crossed the line in 12th place with a time of 18:39.  Junior Gabby Sloezen was next in 18:51, followed by Angelica Matwiejczuk, Ally Borriello and Gina Funaro in 19:28, 19:29 and 19:35 respectively.

Vazquez finished in 6th place in a time of 21:26.  Freshman Asaad Jeffrey and senior Joe Chegwidden worked together and finished just 2 place apart in times of 21:43 and 21:44.  Sophomore Stephen McNiff continued to show improvement for the Spartans crossing the line in a time of 22:46.  Sophomore Ryan Gasser was the fifth scorer recording a time of 23:15.

The STAC cross country program will return to action on November 8th at the East Coast Conference Championship at Roberts Wesleyan University in Rochester, NY.
