STAC Men's & Women's Cross Country Teams Finish Ninth at NCAA Division II East Regional

Rochester, N.Y. - On Saturday, the St. Thomas Aquinas Cross Country program closed out its 2021 schedule, competing in the NCAA Division II East Region Championships, which were hosted by Roberts Wesleyan College at the Matt St. James Cross Country Trails in Rochester. Both the men's and women's squads finished ninth in their respective 10K and 6K races.

For the men, Matt Tina was the top finisher on the day for the men with a time of 34:03.5 (48th place). Following Tina in order of finish were: Andrew Drescher (34:22.7), Thomas Bovenberg (35:15.7), Daniel Agostinho-Vides (35:20.4), Alex Quillan (35:34.8), Jorge Dutan (36:05.9) and Charlie Moore (36:31.3).

Meanwhile on the women's side, Abagaile Kimbrell was the top finisher on the afternoon with a time of 22:25.3 (16th place). Following Kimbrell in order of finish were: Skylar Moreno (23:52.6), Lesly Marcin (23:54.0), Ciara Durcan (24:11.0), Christina Maretzo (24:12.9), Madison Roth (24:32.2) and Gabriella Mott (24:48.5).
