Zoe Merryman has been named the East Coast Conference Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week, for the fourth time this season, on Monday following the Spartans latest race, the St. Joseph's University Invitational, which took place on Saturday inside of Sunken Meadow State Park in Kings Park, N.Y.
Merryman (Mahwah, N.J.) took home her third consecutive top-ten finish, placing second at the St. Joseph's University (LI) Invitational with a 5K time of 19:37.9 (6:19.1 average mile) to help the Spartans to a third-place overall finish in a field of 23 squads.
Next up for St. Thomas Aquinas, the East Coast Conference Championships on Saturday, October 21. The postseason race will be hosted by Roberts Wesleyan University in Rochester, N.Y.
