STAC Cross Country Program Competes at Manhattan College Jasper Fall Invite

Montgomery, N.Y. - On Saturday, the St. Thomas Aquinas Cross Country program took to the race course in the annual Manhattan College Jasper Fall Invite at Twin Ponds on the Farm in Orange County. The Women's squad took home a 12th place finish, while the men's team posted a 16th place finish in the event.

Zoe Merryman was the top STAC finisher on the day with a time of 23:15.7 taking 52nd overall in the women's 6K event. Following Merryman in order of finish were: Ciara Durcan (24:59.4), Isabella Esposito-Farino (27:15.0), Jacqueline Kelly (27:33.3), Samantha Frisbee (28:47.3), Kristen Kennedy (29:22.2), Nicole Gysin (29:57.6), Emma Neil (30:34.5), Veronica Valentik (30:56.0) and Ciara Doyle (32.43.3)

Meanwhile, Nicholas Seitz was the top Spartan finisher on the afternoon with a time of 30:06.7, placing 133rd in the men's 8K race. Following Seitz in order of finish were: James Polisena (30:48.2), Alex Quillan (31:23.2), Kyle Koenig (32:50.5) and Ian Forsyth (34:20.8).

The Spartans will next compete at the Bard College Fred Pavlich Invitational on Saturday, September 23. The meet takes place at Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, N.Y. and will begin with the men's race at 11:30 a.m., followed by the women at 12:30 p.m.
