  • Spartans Fall to Dowling in ECC Tournament

    The St. Thomas Aquinas men's tennis team lost to Dowling College, 7-2 in the ECC semi-final round of the Men's Tennis Tournament. Senior Mike Antolini paired up with Mel Gonzales for a 9-8 win in the third doubles flight. Prince Silva picked up the Spartans other win with a 6-2, 6-2 singles victory.
  • Jacques, Wantzen Earn ECC All Conference Honors

    St. Thomas Aquinas men's tennis players Nicolas Jacques and Kilian Wantzen received all conference honors. Jacques was named the ECC Rookie of the Year as well as a first team all conference selection. Wantzen was named to the second team all conference.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas men's tennis team will play Dowling College on Wednesday in the ECC Semi-Finals. The #3 Spartans will play the #2 Golden Lions at Queens College for a 2:00 p.m. match.
  • Nicolas Jacques Named ECC Rookie of the Week

    St. Thomas Aquinas men's tennis player Nicolas Jacques was named the ECC Rookie of the Week. Jacques went 1-0 in both doubles and singles play this week. He picked up a 6-1, 6-0 win in the top singles flight and teammed up with Prince Silva for an 8-0 win in doubles.
  • Spartans Finish Strong with 8-1 Win Over Post

    The St. Thomas Aquinas men's tennis team finished their regular season schedule with an 8-1 win at Post University. Kilian Wantzen and Nick Cittadino paired up for a top flight doubles win. Nicolas Jacques and Prince Silva picked up an 8-0 doubles win while Mike Antolini and Mel Gonzales also won in doubles.
  • Nicolas Jacques Named ECC Rookie of the Week

    St. Thomas Aquinas men's tennis player Nicolas Jacques was named the ECC Rookie of the Week. Jacques went 3-0 in his singles matches for the week including a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Queens. Jacques went 1-1 in doubles matches for the week. The freshman is 11-2 for the season in the top singles spot.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas men's tennis team beat Caldwell College, 9-0 in today's non-conference match. Nick Cittadino and Killian Wantzen paired up for an 8-1 win in the top doubles flight. Ed Reiter and Mel Gonzales won 8-2 in the second double flight.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas men's tennis team lost to Queens, 8-1. Nicolas Jacques picked up the lone win for the Spartans with a 6-2, 6-1 win in the top singles flight. Senior Mike Antolini was honored in a pre-match ceremony for senior day.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas men's tennis team lost to Adelphi, 6-3 in yesterday afternoon's match. Nicolas Jacques won both his doubles and singles match for the Spartans. Prince Silva paired up with Jacques for the doubles win. Killian Wantzen also won his singles match.

    St. Thomas Aquinas men's tennis player, Kilian Wantzen was named the ECC Rookie of the Week. Wantzen went 2-0 in his singles matches for the week. Wantzen picked up wins over Dowling and UDC and has a 7-2 record in singels for the spring season.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas men's tennis team beat UDC, 5-4 on Saturday afternoon. Prince Silva paired up with Nicolas Jacques for an 8-2 doubles win. Killian Wantzen won the number two singles flight for his seventh singles victory of the season.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas men's tennis team picked up their first win of the spring season over Bloomfield College, 8-1. STAC won the top two doubles flights along with every singles match. Nick Cittadino and Killian Wantzen paired up for an 8-0 win in the top doubles flight. Nicolas Jacques and Ed Reiter won, 8-1 in the second doubles flight as well.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas men's tennis team lost at Chestnut Hill, 6-3. The Spartans had success in the top three singles flights as Nicholas Jacques, Killian Wantzen and Nick Cittadino each won.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas men's tennis team lost to Queens, 9-0 Friday's match. This was the first match of the season where the Spartans failed to score a point. Freshman Nicolas Jacques won one set but eventually fell in the top singles flight.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas men's tennis team dropped their first match of the 2010 season to West Chester, 6-3. Freshman Kilian Wantzen won both his singles and doubles match as he paired up with Nick Cittadino. Nicholas Jacques also won in the #1 singles spot for STAC.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas Men's Tennis Team beat West Chester University of PA Saturday afternoon. STAC won the top four singles matches behind the solid play of three freshman and one junior. The Spartans Nic Jacques & Prince Silva won their doubles match to give STAC a 5-4 edge over the Golden Rams.
