Spartans Hold On To Third Place On Day Two Of NCAA Super Regionals, As Darrason Continues To Excel

Wheeling W.Va. - St. Thomas Aquinas College Golfer Djaia Darrason continued maintain his top-10 individual status on the links Friday by shooting a 75 to come in at 4-over par following the second round of the NCAA Division II East Atlantic Super Regional at the Oglebay Resort: Jones Golf Course in Wheeling, West Virginia.

As a team, the Spartans shot 300 for a second straight day to hold the No. 3 overall spot on the leaderboard with a day two team score of 600 (+16).

In addition to Darrason, Tanner Little 74/+6 (16), Juan Ignacio Simon 77/+11 (T51), Nolan Skaggs 74/+14 (T65) and Diego Ocasio 79/+16 (T78) rounded out the Spartans scoring.

The Spartans will tee off on Saturday, May 11th, as the tournament enters its final day of competition and an East/Atlantic Super Regional Champion is crowned.

*Please note that due to inclement weather that is forecast to move through the Wheeling area on Saturday afternoon, the final 18 holes will get underway beginning at 9:30 a.m. via a shotgun start.*
