The St. Thomas Aquinas women's tennis team beat Dowling College, 5-4 in this afternoon's match. Kristen Schimpf and Erin Maher won their doubles match 8-4 while Candice Zugibe and Kathryn Zebrowski paired up for an 8-0 doubles win. Faye Foreman won her singles match, 6-0, 6-1.
The St. Thomas Aquinas women's tennis team beat Post University, 8-1 on Monday. Kristen Schimpf and Erin Maher won 8-0 in their doubles match while Candice Zugibe and KathrynZebrowski paired up for an 8-0 win. Schimpf, Maher and Zugibe also won their singles matches along with, Christine Patruno, Sam Vinci and Faye Foreman.
The St. Thomas Aquinas women's tennis team lost to Caldwell, 7-2 in Friday afternoon's match. STAC honored it's seniors Christine Patruno and Kristen Schimpf prior to the match. The senior duo paired up for a 8-5 doubles victory. Schimpf also won her singles match, 6-3, 6-0.
The St. Thomas Aquinas women's tennis team beat C.W. Post, 6-3 in Tuesday afternoons match. Kristen Schimpf and Erin Maher paired up for a doubles win 9-8, 7-3. Schimpf went on to win her singles match, 0-6, 6-2, 10-7. Samantha Vinci also won her singles match, 6-1, 6-3.
The St. Thomas Aquinas women's tennis team beat Dowling College, 7-2 on Wednesday afternoon. Kristen Schimpf and Erin Maher paired up for a second flight doubles win, 8-2. Candice Zugibe and Sam Vinci won their doubles flight, 8-0. Christine Patruno and Faye Forman won their singles matches along with Maher, Vinci and Zugibe.
The St. Thomas Aquinas women's tennis team suffered their second loss of the season falling, 9-0 to Chestnut Hill College on Friday afternoon. Candice Zugibe and Faye Forman played touch singles matches for STAC dropping 6-4, 6-2 and 6-3, 6-2.
The St. Thomas Aquinas women's tennis team was selected to finish 6th in the East Coast Conference Preseason Poll voted on by the conference coaches. The Lady Spartans return four players from last season's squad including 2nd team all conference player, Kristen Schimpf. STAC finished in 4th place last season.
