The St. Thomas Aquinas women's lacrosse team has made history this season reaching the ECC playoffs for the first time, as well as tying their season high wins total and going undefeated, 7-0 on their home field. The #3 seed Lady Spartans are set to play #2 seed Dowling College on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m.

For the second time in three weeks, Lady Spartan sophomore Kailtlyn Lonergan has been named the East Coast Conference Rookie of the Week. Lonergan recorded 13 saves on the road in STAC's 18-3 win over Wilmington. The goalie held the Wildcats scoreless until the last six minutes of the game.

Johannah Mitchell, a member of the women's lacrosse team at St. Thomas Aquinas College will spend her summer coaching with the Harlem Lacrosse and Leadership organization. For the second straight summer, Up2Us, a coalition of more than 650 nonprofit organizations that believe in the power of sports to fight childhood obesity, end academic failure, and reduce gang participation, selected an ECC student-athlete to serve as an Up2Us Coach Across America coach.
