  • Lady Spartans Clinch 2nd at ECC Championship

    The St. Thomas Aquinas College women's cross country team finished in 2nd place at the East Coast Conference Championship at LIU Post in Brookville, NY. Defending their 2012 title, the Lady Spartans fell short by just 4 points to the host school. Senior Keeley Bateman ran a personal record of 18:54 on the course finishing 12th overall.

  • Cross Country Teams Garner All-Academic Honors

    The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association has announced both the Spartan Men's and Women's Cross Country Teams as All-Academic Honorees. This is the second consecutive year that both teams have earned the award.

    Juniors Keeley Bateman and Michael Galonski and sophomore Joseph Chegwidden have been named All-Academic selections by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
  • Spartans Volunteer at Fall Festival

    The St. Thomas Aquinas College Baseball and Women's Cross Country/Track & Field teams teamed up with the Rockland County Historical Society at the 2012 Fall Festival. The athletes helped out with face painting, games and even some traffic control.
  • Cross Country Season Ends at NCAA Regional, Men Finish 11th

    The 2012 cross country season came to an end at the NCAA DII East Regional Race in Nashua, NH. The men's squad posted a school best 11th place finish paced by Michael Galonski. The Lady Spartans finished in 15th place.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas women's cross country team has been ranked #10 in the East Region according to the latest USTFCCCA poll. The Lady Spartans move into the poll for the first time this season following their conference championship on Sunday.
  • Galonski, Capolino Earn All-Conference Honors at ECC Championship

    Junior Michael Galonski was named to the ECC All-Conference 1st Team following his 6th place finish at the ECC Championship on Sunday. Rookie Joseph Capolino nabbed All-Conference 2nd Team honors with his 13th place finish.
  • Lady Spartans Take Home ECC Cross Country Crown

    The St. Thomas Aquinas Women's Cross Country Team was named the East Coast Conference Champion for the second time in three years. Junior Keeley Bateman and freshman Meagan Jaskot were named to the All-Conference team.
  • Bateman, Galonski Shatter Spartan 5K and 8K School Records

    Juniors Keeley Bateman and Michael Galonski set new school records for the Spartan cross country program. Bateman recorded a time of 18:45 in the 5K while Galonski followed suit in the 8K men's race clocking in at 25:31 at the NJIT Highlander Invitational at Branch Brook Park in Newark, NJ.
  • Jaskot Earns Rookie of the Week Honors for 2nd Time

    Freshman Meaghan Jaskot has been named the ECC Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week for the 2nd time this season. The announcement follows her strong performance at the Highlander Invitational on Sunday. Jaskot finished the 5K race in a personal best 19:31.
  • Spartans Take On Strong Field at Paul Short Invitational

    The St. Thomas Aquinas College cross country teams competed at the 38th annual Paul Short Invitational at Lehigh University. Michael Galonski and Keeley Bateman, the consistent leaders of the teams, continued to build upon the strength of their seasons finishing first for their squads.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas College cross country team saw major improvements at the LIU-Post invite in Brookville, NY. Every runner lowered their times in the season's second race. Junior Michael Galonski took 2nd place in the men's race, while Keeley Batman was the first Lady Spartan to cross the line.
  • Jaskot Named Rookie of the Week

    Meagan Jaskot of the Lady Spartan cross country team has been tabbed Rookie of the Week by the East Coast Conference. Jaskot notched a 13th place finish in her first collegiate competition at the Fordham Fiasco at Van Cortlandt Park. She was the first Lady Spartan finisher, covering the 5K course in 20:44.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas College cross country teams ran their first race against outside competition at the Fordham Fiasco and Follies at VanCortalandt Park. Junior Mike Galonski notched a 5th place finish as the first Spartan to cross the line. Freshman Meagan Jaskot led the Lady Spartans in her first collegiate competition.
  • Spartan Alumni Run Kicks Off 2012 Season

    The St. Thomas Aquinas College cross country program started the new season with a glimpse of the past as the Spartans held their annual Spartan Alumni Run at Tallman State Park. Michael Galonski's course record breaking run set the pace for the men, while the Lady Spartans were lead by freshman Rebecca Fortoul.

    According to the ECC Pre Season Cross Country Poll, the St. Thomas Aquinas Lady Spartans have been chosen to finish 2nd in the conference, while the men landed the 3rd place spot. These numbers, voted on by the coaches in the conference, reflect both squads 2011 finishes, but the Spartans are looking to make a statement in 2012.
