  • Gunderson and Linehan Named to the Ping All Region Team

    St. Thomas Aquinas golfers, Mike Gunderson and Thomas Linehan were named to the Ping All Region Team announced by the GCAA. 107 players across eight regions received all region honors for the 2011-12 season. The duo help the Spartans reached the NCAA Championship after finishing 5th in the NCAA Super Regional.
  • Spartans Finish 18th in NCAA Tournament

    The St. Thomas Aquinas men's golf team finished in 18th place in the NCAA Division II National Championship at The Cardinal Club in Simponville, Ky. Thomas Linehan and Mike Gunderson had solid performances finishing +9 and +10 in their three rounds.
  • Spartans Finish 16th After Round 1

    The St. Thomas Aquinas golf team finished in 16th place after the first round of the NCAA Division II National Championship, at The Cardinal Club in Simponville, Ky. Mike Gunderson led the Spartans with a 2-under par, 70 in his opening round, tying him for 5th place. Nick Delango and Thomas Linehan each shot 74, to help keep the Spartans in the mix.
  • Spartans Advance to NCAA Championship

    The St. Thomas Aquinas golf team finished in 5th place in the Atlantic/East NCAA Super Regionals and will now advance to the NCAA Championship for the 4th consecutive year.  The Spartans shot a team score of 318, which was just enough to edged their way into the Championship.  Mike Gunderson had a strong day for the Spartans posting a team low, 74; which was good for an 8th place finish.  
  • Spartans Stay Strong in Round Two

    The St. Thomas Aquinas golf team continued their strong play at the NCAA Atlantic/East Super Regional, finishing with a 2-day team score of 315. Thomas Linehan shot a 76 on day two, leading the Spartans and finished the day tied for second. Mike Gunderson and John Casey posted a 78 and 79 in their second rounds. Nick Delango rounded out the scores with an 82.
  • Spartans Finish in 4th After Round 1 of NCAA Regionals

    The St. Thomas Aquinas men's golf team finished in 4th place in the first round of the NCAA Super Regionals at Hershey Country Club East Course. The Spartans finished with a team score of 312, led by Thomas Linehan's 1-over par, 72. Linehan is in a three way tie for first place. Mike Gunderson shot a 77 and is tied for 14th place.
  • Spartans Heading to NCAA Super Regionals

    The St. Thomas Aquinas men's golf team is heading to the NCAA Super Regionals at the Hershey Country Club East Course, Monday, May 7th through May 9th, hosted by Millersville University. The East/Atlantic field consists of twenty teams and the top five teams advance to the NCAA Championbships.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas men's golf team is ranked 2nd in the East Region. Senior Mike Gunderson leads the Spartans with an average score of 75.44. Sophomore Thomas Linehan has a scoring average on 76.43 while John Casey is at 77.75.
  • Spartans Tie for Low Score at Goldey-Beacom Invitational

    The St. Thomas Aquinas golf team tied for the low score finish at the Goldey-Beacom Invitational this weekend. STAC came up 2nd after the tie breaking playoff behind Nyack College. Mike Gunderson shot 73, 76 as STAC's top finisher while Thomas Linehan shot 78,77.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas men's golf team is currently ranked 2nd in the East Region. Senior Mike Gunderson leads the Spartans with an average score of 75.44. Sophomore Thomas Linehan has a scoring average on 76.43 while John Casey is at 77.75.
  • Linehan Captures Medalist Honors at Peter King Memorial

    The St. Thomas Aquinas golf team was back in action at the 8th annual Peter King Memorial hosted by Dowling College at Long Island National G.C. in Riverhead, NY. In round one, the field was battling extreme conditions with temperatures in the 30’s, winds gusting in excess of 35mph and sideways rain at times. Sophomore Tommy Linehan battled the adverse conditions and posted an impressive round of 70.
  • Spartans Runner Up in Spring Invitational

    The St. Thomas Aquinas Men’s Golf team finished in 2nd place during their 12th annual Spring Invitational Tournament at Rum Pointe, G.C. in Berlin, MD. The Spartans came out firing in round one, posting the low score of the tournament with a stellar 293. Mike Gunderson’s led the charge with a superb round of 69 (-3).
  • Spartans Finish 3rd out of Top 16 in East/Atlantic Region

    The St. Thomas Aquinas Men’s golf team head south to the St. James Plantation hosted by Indiana University of Pennsylvania. The event was hosted on the Founder’s Club course in Southport, N.C.; a 6,500 yard P.B Dye course. On day one, the team was led by senior Mike Gunderson and Sophomore Tommy Linehan who shot 71 and 72 respectively.
  • Spartans Win 5th Annual Charger Challenge

    The St. Thomas Aquinas men's golf team won the 5th Annual Charger Challenge hosted by Dominican College at Spook Rock Golf Course. Senior John Casey shot a 2nd place score of 144 with back to back rounds of 72. Mike Gunderson and Jack Rice finished in 5th and 6th place with scores of 146 and 148. Thomas Linehan rounded out the Spartans scorers finishing in 11th with a two day score of 152.
  • Spartans Win Dowling College Fall Shootout by 12 Strokes

    The St. Thomas Aquinas Men's golf team had a wire to wire victory at the Dowling College Fall Shootout at Long Island National Golf Club in Riverhead, NY. The Spartans had a very strong outing in the first regional event of the fall after two steady rounds of golf.
