  • Men's & Women's Cross Country Named All-Academic Teams

    The Men's and Women's Cross Country teams have been named All-Academic teams for their strong performances in the classroom by the United States Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association. This is the fourth consecutive year the Lady Spartans have received the award and the third for the men.

    Senior runner, Michael Galonski, has been named an All-East Region Cross Country selection for his 15th place finish in the NCAA East Regional Championship at Franklin Park.
  • Program Best Regional Finish For Lady Spartans, Galonski 15th in Men's Race

    The Spartan Cross Country Program raced at the NCAA East Regional at Franklin Park in Boston, MA on Sunday. The women's team, paced by Keeley Bateman, finished in 11th place, which is the best finish to date at the race. Senior Michael Galonski led the men's squad with a 15th place finish overall.

    For the fourth consecutive year, seniors Keeley Bateman and Michael Galonski have been named East Coast Conference All-Conference Honorees for cross country. Both runners led their teams in every race this season.
  • Galonski Takes 3rd, Men Finish 4th

    Senior Michael Galonski led the St. Thomas Aquinas College cross country team to a 4th place team finish at the East Coast Conference Championship. His third place finish, and course PR of 25:34, earned him All-Conference First Team honors.
  • Lady Spartans 3rd, Galonski Leads Men

    The St. Thomas Aquinas Cross Country Program traveled to Newark, Delaware for the University of Delaware Blue & Gold Invitational on Saturday. The women's squad, led by senior Keeley Bateman, took 3rd place while the men finished in 5th. Senior Mike Galonski was the top finisher for the day in 3rd place overall.
  • Spartans Battle Heat at Paul Short Invitational

    The St. Thomas Aquinas Cross Country team competed at the Paul Short Invitational at Lehigh University on Saturday. Despite uncharacteristic October heat, senior Michael Galonski finished 9th in the white race in 26:43. The women did not get to compete as the Lehigh and Northhampton Counties' Emergency Services cancelled the remainder of the day.

    Seniors Michael Galonski and Keeley Batman continued to shine as their squad's lead runners as both teams took 5th in the 2013 Codfish Bowl at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass. Facing top East Region competition, STAC got a look at the course where the 2013 East Regional will be run.
  • Spartan Cross Country Hosts Alumni Race

    The St. Thomas Aquinas Cross Country program welcomed back their alumni with a competitive 5K challenge. Senior Mike Galonski broke his own home course record at Tallman State Park with a time of 16:05. Senior Keeley Bateman and sophomore Meagan Jaskot coasted to the finish in tandem in 19:40. Assistant Coach Andrew Gangemi was the winner out of the alumni runners.
  • Mike Galonski Tabbed ECC Runner of the Week

    Spartan senior, Michael Galonski has been named the East Coast Conference Runner of the Week. He raced to his first win of the season at the LIU Post Invitational on Saturday. Galonski paced the race finishing in 25:36. The time is his personal record on the course and just 5 seconds off his overall racing personal best.
  • Galonski Wins Men's Race; Lady Spartans Take 2nd

    Senior Michael Galonski finished 1st in the LIU Post Invitational. After pacing the race, he set a course PR of 25:36. It was his first win of the season. The women's team finished in 2nd behind the stellar effort of senior Keeley Bateman and sophomore Meagan Jaskot.
  • Cross Country Volunteers at South Nyack Ten Miler

    The STAC Cross Country team volunteered at the 25th Annual South Nyack Ten Miler Race hosted by the Rockland Roadrunners. The Spartans provided support, cold drinks and ice pops to the race participants at two separate locations along the race route.
  • Jumana Khatib Named ECC Rookie of the Week

    Lady Spartan Freshmen Jumana Khatib has been tabbed the Women's Rookie of the Week for Week 1 of the cross country season. In her collegiate debut, she covered the 5K Van Cortlandt Park course in 22:08.
  • Cross Country Opens Season at Fordham Fiasco/Ed Joyce Memorial

    The St. Thomas Aquinas cross country team jumped to a quick start at the Fordham Fiasco/Ed Joyce Memorial at Van Cortlandt Park on Saturday. Led by senior Michael Galonski, the Spartan squad finished in 4th place. The Lady Spartans notched 5th with sophomore Meagan Jaskot setting the pace.

    The East Coast Conference has released the first poll of the cross country season with the STAC women in 2nd place and the men's team in 5th.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas Men's Cross Country team has been ranked 8th in the East Region by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. This is the lowest ranking for the Spartans in program history.
