    The St. Thomas Aquinas women's lacrosse team lost to Dowling College, 16-4 in the semi-finals of the ECC playoffs. Genevieve Stickney scored 3 goals for the Lady Spartans and Kellie Kucinski scored one. Kaitlyn Lonergan had 7 saves for STAC.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas women's lacrosse team has made history this season reaching the ECC playoffs for the first time, as well as tying their season high wins total and going undefeated, 7-0 on their home field. The #3 seed Lady Spartans are set to play #2 seed Dowling College on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m.
  • Lady Spartans Earn All Conference Recognition

    St. Thomas Aquinas women's lacrosse senior Margaret Sharp and Becky Torres have been named to the ECC 1st team all conference. Juniors Samantha Lowney, Alexis Serras and Kaitlyn Lonergan received 2nd team all conference recognition. STAC finished the regular season 12-4 and clinched a spot in the ECC playoffs for the first time in program history.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas women's lacrosse team lost to LIU Post, 18-9. Genevieve Stickney had 4 goals for the Lady Spartans. Samantha Lowney and Ruth Pluviose etched notched 2 goals for STAC while Kellie Kucinski chipped in one. Margaret Sharp had 5 assists.

    Junior mid/attack Kellie Kucinski and sophomore goal keeper Kaitlyn Lonergan have been named the East Coast Conference Player and Goal Keeper of the Week. The team notched two wins against CACC opponent Holy Family and conference opponent Molloy.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas women's lacrosse team beat Molloy College, 15-10 on Saturday afternoon. Kellie Kucinski scored 5 goals and added an assist while Margaret Sharp had 3 goals and 1 assist. Samantha Lowney and Genevieve Stickney each chipped in two goals. Kaitlyn Lonergan had four saves for STAC.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas women's lacrosse team beat Holy Family, 13-7 on Thursday afternoon. Today's game honored the final home game for STAC's four seniors; Kelly Moresi, Cassie Micholetti, Margaret Sharp and Becky Torres. With the win the Lady Spartans finished with a 7-0 undefeated home record.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas women's lacrosse team beat Roberts Weslyan, 16-7 on Saturday afternoon. Samanth Lowney scored 5 goals for STAC while Kellie Kucinski, Margaret Sharp and Genevieve Stickney each added 3 goals. Sharp added 6 assists to boost STAC's scoring output.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas women's lacrosse team lost to Dowling College, 13-7 on Tuesday night. Margaret Sharp scored four of the Lady Spartan goals and added two assists. Kaitlyn Lonergan had 9 saves. Kellie Kucinski, Samantha Lowney and Genevieve Stickney each scored a goal.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas women's lacrosse team beat UDC, 14-0 extending the win streak to five. The Lady Spartans improve to 9-2 and 4-0 in conference play. Margaret Sharp and Sabrina Prestano each scored 3 goals for STAC.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas women's lacrosse team beat Queens College, 21-7 to improve to 8-2 and 3-0 in conference play. Margaret Sharp scored a career high 8 goals and and 3 assists to guide the STAC attack. Genevieve Stickney and Samantha Lowney added 4 and 3 goals respectively.

    The Lady Spartan lacrosse duo of Margaret Sharp and and Kaitlyn Lonergan picked up the East Coast Conference Awards for the second and third time respectively. Sharp was named the Player of the Week while Lonergan was tabbed the Goal Keeper of the Week.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas women's lacrosse team beat Findlay, 20-8 on Saturday afternoon. Margaret Sharp scored 5 goals and had 4 assists. Sharp was recognized briefly before the game for scoring her 100th goal. Sharp scored her 100th goal on March 12th against Wilmington.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas lacrosse team beat Chestnut Hill, 19-8 on Thursday afternoon. Margaret Sharp had 5 goals and 5 assists to lead the Lady Spartans. Samantha Lowney, Kellie Kucinski and Genevieve Stickney each had 4 goals while Lowney added 3 assists. Kaitlyn Lonergan had 12 saves in the win.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas women's lacrosse team lost at West Chester, 16-5 yesterday aternoon. Margaret Sharp and Genevieve Stickney each scored two goals for STAC. Sharp added two assists and Samantha Lowney scored the other goal.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas women's lacrosse team lost to undefeated Adelphi University, 19-0 on Monday evening. The Panthers strong defense did not allow the Lady Spartans to get good shots on goal holding them scoreless. Kaitlyn Lonergan had 13 saves for STAC.

    For the second time in three weeks, Lady Spartan sophomore Kailtlyn Lonergan has been named the East Coast Conference Rookie of the Week. Lonergan recorded 13 saves on the road in STAC's 18-3 win over Wilmington. The goalie held the Wildcats scoreless until the last six minutes of the game.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas women's lacrosse team beat the University of Bridgeport, 8-7 in triple overtime on Saturday afternoon. Samantha Lowney scored 5 goals for the Lady Spartans including the game winning goal in the third overtime session. Margaret Sharp scored the other three goals for STAC and Kaitlyn Lonergan had 7 saves in goal.

    Johannah Mitchell, a member of the women's lacrosse team at St. Thomas Aquinas College will spend her summer coaching with the Harlem Lacrosse and Leadership organization. For the second straight summer, Up2Us, a coalition of more than 650 nonprofit organizations that believe in the power of sports to fight childhood obesity, end academic failure, and reduce gang participation, selected an ECC student-athlete to serve as an Up2Us Coach Across America coach.
