The St. Thomas Aquinas men's soccer program hosted a Spartan Alumni game on April 6th at the Christopher St. Lawrence Sports Complex in Hillburn, NY. The Alumni turned up in force to give the Spartans a very strong game.
The St. Thomas Aquinas Men's Soccer Team was recognized on Wednesday evening at the basketball doubleheader for the program's first ever trip to the NCAA Championship Tournament. Their championship banner was unveiled and the athletes received medallions for their achievements.
St. Thomas Aquinas men's soccer players Daniel Davren and Remington Lee were named to the Daktronics 2nd Team All Region. This is the second time Davren has made the All Region team. Davren led the Spartans in points with 8 goals and 8 assists while Lee was their leading goal scorer with 10 goals this season.
The terrific 2011 season for the St. Thomas Aquinas College men's soccer team came to a close on Saturday, with a 5-0 setback at the hands of host Franklin Pierce University in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament in Rindge, NH. The Spartans finish the year with a record of 11-4-4.

The Spartans finished the regular season 10-3-4 and were ranked 4th in the East Region going into the final week of the season. STAC is the #5 seed in the East Region Bracket and will play #4 seeded NYIT on Thursday at 4:00 p.m.

Midfielders Daniel Davren and Remington Lee were named first team all conference while Midfielder Sean Reily and Goal Keeper Andrew Tartara were named to the second team. The Spartans finished the regular season with a record of 10-3-4.
St. Thomas Aquinas Men's Soccer player Joseph Connolly was named the ECC Player of the Week. Connolly had 2 goals and 1 assist in the Spartans 3-0 win over UDC. The sophomore forward assisted STAC’s first goal of the game against the Firebirds before knocking in 2 second half goals within a three minute span to lead the Spartans to victory.

NYIT score two second half goals including one in the final minute of action to beat the Spartans and knock them out of an ECC play off spot. Andrew Tartara had 2 saves for the Spartans. STAC had 15 shots, 5 on goal to the Bears 21 and 4.

The St. Thomas Aquinas soccer teams are going to be wearing their pink warm up t-shirts in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Day. The men's soccer team will also be honoring their seniors in a pre-game ceremony. Food and drink will be available for the players and family after both games. Fans are encouraged to wear pink and their will be ribbons sold to raise money for the cause.

The St. Thomas Aquinas men's soccer team is currently ranked 4th in the East Region with a record of 7-1-4. STAC dropped out of the National Poll after a tough 1-0 loss against C.W. Post who is ranked #1 in the East Region and 3rd in the Nation. The Spartans have still received votes Nationally.

The St. Thomas Aquinas men's soccer team is ranked #17 in the country announced today by the NSCAA Coaches. STAC was 6-0-3 at the time of the ranking and 1-0-1 in the ECC. The Spartans are ranked #3 in the East Region.
The St. Thomas Aquinas men's and women's soccer teams participated in the 17th Annual Support-A-Walk, to help raise money and awareness for children with cancer. The group of 47 athletes walked the 3 mile loop at FDR State Park in Yorktown, NY and raised $250.00. "The teams truly enjoyed giving something back to kids that do not have the same opportunity that they have."
